Dino at the ER

Back at the ER. Incision still leaking, discharge starting to get a little yellow. Still not drinking on his own, willing to be hand fed for 1-2ozs, beyond that it's a bigger chore.

They are going to irrigate the incision. They believe he may be having a reaction to the sutures. Might need to sedate him again, so glad they have the info on the step sedation from the other day, minimizing the dosage.

To date he has only had Clavamox, "take it for 14 days and things should clear up or wait 2 weeks and things should be better". Never much faith in it doing anything at all.

I read this whole thing, John, and I just can't believe the trials and tribulations Dino (and you) have been going through. Good grief! It seems you can't catch a break! Anyway, sending love and healing thoughts to your sweet boy.

Upon opening Dino up they found all kinds of puss and he he has blown through a stitch in his abdominal muscle Wall. They are flushing it all out, examining the surgery site and hopefully all is well. From what I've seen, the evidence suggest this started at the incision site and pushed inward. Fortunately we have loaded him with fluids and the surgeon seemed pretty optimistic.
