In terms of your contract, it doesn't represent the kitten as anything specific in generation...hence even if F20 if there IS Savannah in the heritage, their description holds. As there is no real definition of "lynx" when it comes to domestic cats I don't think it can be argued either.

I guess that if Jimmy made other representations of the kitten's pedigree in the emails there might still be something you could claim. I agree that $2,500 seems excessive for an unregistered kitten of mixed undetermined heritage!
Brigette, Jimmy did make claims that the kittens were 22% wild blood (15% serval and 6% jungle cat) bred from F2 Savannah Queen Bellissima and F3 Jungle Cat/Savannah Hybrid Big Foot.

Lindsey, do you have anything in writing that states who the parents of your kitten are?
Yes. He said the parents are F2 Savannah Queen Bellissima and F3 Jungle Cat/Savannah Hybrid Big Foot. I thought Bellisima was on their website, but I just looked and don't see her pictured.

I didn't see that in the contract. If your kitten is from an F2 Savannah queen then you did get more of a "Savannah" than most of those that have F2.5s!

He says that Bellissima is F2 but you don't get papers so I guess you just have to take it on faith that she really is a Savannah... so you didn't see pictures of the mama before you purchased the kitten?

He sent the percentages to me via email...after the kitten was already on her way. He sent pics to me via email also that had a link to a drop box account, but now I don't see them on there. He claims to have the papers on the mom, which I am asking for. He has the papers for the grandfather, Don Juan demarco, which I want as well. I don't think Big Foot was ever papered.

I am also having an ancestry DNA test done on the kitten to see what that comes up with (as well as a genetics health screen).

I don't think that the Ancestry DNA test is at all useful, as far as I am aware from conversations with a feline genetics expert (Dr Leslie Lyons) the Serval's DNA is so similar to the domestic cat's that there is no way to really detect that heritage past F1 level.

well, have seen no pic's of your cat, so really can't comment on before and after. Again I ask, do you love this kitten???? Does it own a special place in your heart???? If the answer is yes, then let it go and count your blessings. Regardless of what it really is, it's a unique cat of unknown heritage. Spotted, high level of character, fun to play with.

$2500 is what I paid fur me first F3, so thinking your investment is not to extravagant. My F2 twins were much, much more, but still a bargain at todays fair market rates.

If your furbaby is healthy, a charmer and a looker, what more does any cat lover need??? Just sayhing!!!!!

I understand that, but what I am trying to find out is if she is really even what I was she was. How would you feel if you paid $2500 for a shelter rescue kitten? It's the principal of the matter of being scammed is all. In not saying I would send her back now, but I don't think it's right to be cheated like that...if I were. I will start a new post in regards to what i have been able to gather on her parentage since this post is for the sick kittens and I don't want to get too far off topic. I attached a pic. Not the best so I'll have to get another one. One of the pics is what I was sent from Jimmy as to what she looked like. The other (of her eating) is what she looks like.

If you don't think that the kitten is the same one as you purchased, what you really need to do is get a shot the same as the one you were sent by Jimmy...so that you can directly compare the pattern of the cat. While as they grow the spots and striping do expand and move a bit, the pattern remains quite distinct and individual. Because the pic you took of the kitten at your home is at a different angle and shows a different part of the cat, it's impossible to tell.

I will get a better one with her face. I didn't want to interrupt her eating!
