Congratulations!!! My youngest turns 1 next month so I completely understand! Enjoy when they're tiny as mine grew up so fast!! This tiny little 5lb 17" baby to 17lbs and 34" long at 11 months!! (Height of a 3yr old)

Kodas.momma, Rafiki is a F3C from Halestone. She is a little over 12 lbs at 18 months old. Mike and Sandy are great breeders located in Huntington Beach, CA. They will not guarantee a large cat by any means but many of their past cats are big. Rafiki was healthy, pest-free and well socialized when we got her. My husband fell in love with their SBT Midnight Hunter (Best International Savannah Alter 2014) - Hunter really convinced him that all the talk about "dangerous, wild Savannahs" was all BS. Their SVs and Chausies own the house.

Yes, I met Babe as well. He was close buddies with "Reese", Rafiki's mel brother. Babe is unbelievably sweet and mellow. What do you mean by "he was one of your very first kittens"? Is he out of your cattery?

My very first litter was in Feb 2005, and Babe was one of four kittens born. One of the others is Mondo, the Savannah featured on the Cats101 episode on Savannahs.

Reese was such a cutie! I met him at a cat show once, his coloring kept us guessing for a bit!

Those four boys were the perfect litter, so much fun! Guess if it wasn't so fun we might not have continued ;-)

Brigitte, what process do we use to register a cat if we don't get a blue slip from the breeder and/or if the breeder is no longer in business and was an airhead and didn't keep good records?

Witchy, I had a breeder that is no longer in business and never gave me a blue slip even though she kept saying she was mailing it to me. I contacted TICA, I was able to confirm that a litter of 7 was born and registered. I then contacted the regional director for help. My breeder would not respond. I was advised to recontact TICA. Since the breeder's website was gone, no response to emails, phone numbers no longer in service etc, I was told to fax the info on the sire, dam, date of birth of litter and the regional director's name that I had been working with. I faxed all of the info, TICA contacted the regional director and then sent me the blue slip,which I quickly filled out and returned.

I read on the TICA website that they sometimes would send a blue slip when the breeder registers a litter but for some reason does not giver the owner the blue slip. The example they gave was death of the breeder. I told them that since the website was gone, phone number no longer worked, emails went unanswered, that for all practical purposes my breeder was"dead". Sue

I have recently put down a deposit for a kitten from Taran at domesticwildcat.com. She says it is a F2 and will come with papers, the father is not registered but I am awaiting the information on his parents and the breeder she purchased him from. Does anyone who has purchased a kitten from her have updated photos or updates on how there kittens are doing?
