Go Cat Wheel

This has possibilities! I would love to get one. But Z couldn't care less about the laser pointer. My DSH goes nuts for it! Think it would difficult to get Z to use a wheel without the red dot?

It depends on the cat... Shango was curious enough to try out his cat wheel the very same day I brought him home from the airport. He learned to use it on his own and continues to do so on a daily basis. I never had to train him, but that's not always the case. Some people also use treats as a way of training their cats to use the wheels.

Sounds like Z in on Santa's nice list :)

Shango's not interested in lasers either. If treats don't work, you could also try a feather wand teaser. Most kittens can't seem to resist feathers.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still working on finding his ultimate treat - a couple of things arrived today that I haven't had time to open yet. We have a couple feather wands, but he isn't terribly thrilled with those either. He does like the wand with a little mouse that I soaked in chicken broth :)

I love this site - so much great information!
