Deborah. Unlike other foxes fennecs don't musk (they might be the only species that doesnt but don't hold me to that). They're fairly litter box trained (I'd say 75% hit rate) so aside from cleaning up the occasional fox poops and cleaning their "den" on a daily basis there really is no smell.

I had to look this one up, but now I am dying to meet one! It looks similar to the creature from the movie Duma was named after...a bush baby...

Just found this and had to share...

Are they neutered?

Everyone is fixed including the wallaby yes. Well the Savannah's aren't fixed yet but will be shortly. The fennecs had a litter of one kit while they were living with their previous owner but Fennec fox breeding is extremely difficult and does not just happen the way it does with other animals. Most importantly, their den has be be left untouched during the breeding season during which the foxes will literally smear their feces all over the place and each other. I've been in a fox den following breeding season and well the smell is worse than a skunk.

Not to mention that fennecs (and most wild animals) are pulled from their mothers at just a few days old and require round the clock bottle feeding for months. I went though this with the wallaby. While greatly rewarding it is extremely taxing and not something I plan on doing again anytime soon if ever again. A fox raised kit would turn out almost completely wild. Great for a zoo. Not for a loving pet

Very similar indeed. Both are adorable. Oddly enough though the two aren't even remotely related. The greater bush baby is a primate and the sugar glider is actually a marsupial, and Carry their young In a pouch just like their macropod (kangaroo) cousins.

Hi everyone. My name is Alex and ive been lurking on this site for a few weeks reading as much as I can to prepare myself for the day I would bring home my own Savannah. Luckily that day was Saturday when I brought home my 14 week old F3 Kovu. I had originally gone to look at a litter of F2's that were not yet ready to go home. Well I put down a deposit on the F2 but when this little guy caught my eye I just had to hold him. He is absolute mush. The best temperament ive ever seen in a cat. He got into a tussle about a month ago and sustained an injury to his nose so now he has a scar running down the center of his nose. To be honest I didnt even notice it at first but now that its been pointed out I can tell. I just think it adds character. Thats why I named him Kovu, it means Scar in Swahili. The F2 i'll be bringing home has been named Zuri (which means beautiful in Swahili). He will be ready to come home on September 8th. Im attaching pictures of Kovu with his new best friends, my pair of fennec foxes Savannah and Cooper. I know that day two might have been a bit too soon to introduce other pets but he was just doing SO well that I couldnt resist. It was love at first sight. Im also attaching pictures of the F2 Zuri at 4 days from the breeder (hes second from the left in the bunch), and then two pics of him from saturday. He was especially fond of the brace that I have been wearing and will be wearing for a few months due to a torn bicep. He could not stop playing with the straps and biting the brace. Anyways im very excited to invite the babies into my home and look forward to fully integrating them into my family (which includes the two fennec foxes, a siberian husky, a very low content wolf hybrid, and a 5 year old Bennett's wallaby named Indy).
