More info like how old is she, has she yet been spayed are important in allowing us to help advise you.

If need be, Marilyn is available for private intervention and can be reached here: http://thecatcoach.com

Also, I just noted that you have multiple cats. Make sure the number of litter boxes available is equal to the number of cats plus one.

With the details provided, it sure sounds like territorial marking but it could be any number of things and there is plenty of good information here on putting together suitable litter boxes to keep these kinds of issues at bay as well as make it easy for you to keep after them.
thanks for your info. I do have multiple litter boxes and keep them clean. getting her in the vet in a few hours to rule out a uti. I am also getting rid of all the bedding. Expensive but easier.lol not going to use a down comforter again. i will keep all posted. thanks for all the advice!

Let us know how it goes, and although not where I would have started, good to get the UT issues off the checklist.

The first to do is always check out the medical aspect - I very much agree with Marilyn!

I just would have started with environmental issues first although I am by no means an expert. Vets aren't psychologists and they are always going to look for thing in their field of study first. Nothing wrong with that and different vets will offer different remedy.

Again getting the tests out of the way is a good thing, just for me knowing that more often than not these are behavioral issues and I'm running under the assumption this was a single episode.

John, with inappropriate peeing, one should always check for a UTI first, since that is usually the first sign...otherwise I agree with you.

it was like she really wanted to get us up. i get up at 6am every day for work. waht's funny is that for the last few months since my girlfriend has been staying with me the cats have got waaaay more attention as she is around a lot during the day. I play with them every day as much as possible. They have a play room in the master bedroom. I spoil the crap out of my kids " cats " ... So if it is a behavioral thing what in the world? I think she got cozy and felt the down comforter and just let it rip. At least I will know as I am bringing to vet. I will post and let you all know what the vet had to say. Savannah is comfortably sleeping on top of the fridge looking darling.

It probably is behavioral, but you want to rule out UTI so you know for sure...
