Keeba is more skittish... He will do a flip if he hears loud noise, he usually runs to me! Okay, maybe he's just a mamma boy, I dont know lol

Keeba would run from the Roomba and hide! Keeba has to be the most non confrontational cat I've ever owned. He runs for the hills at a hiss, growl anything.

Some of these replies got me really thinking: could it be that it is MY cats that are rather rarity being so skittish? I see a lot of people said their savannahs are LESS skittish. The thing is, any sudden, uncommon noise makes they jump and freak out. For instance, they used to run and hide every single time one of us sneezes. Helicopters outside, door bell, ice maker...However, if they know where the noise comes from, they don't mind it. While we were adding a shelf to their tower, drilling holes, they were sitting on the same tower watching us. They don't mind vacuum or Roomba, because they see us starting it and know what's coming. They are just now finally getting a little better about sneezes and other noises, but still, they are pretty much adults...Is it normal?

I don't find mine terribly skittish... mine wouldn't startle from me sneezing, unless they were tiny kittens still unsure of the world. I tend to find mine don't run and hide, if startled they will hunker down and look and listen and try to work out what it is and how to react but the only one that truly freaks here is Bobo and I always have put it down to him being 75% Bengal (and 25% Serval)...he can flip out and there is no reasoning with him.
