It would be much better for her if you let 1 or 2 people at a time visit her room during Thanksgiving. And be sure that they don't talk with loud voices or make loud noises. She'll be feeling safe in there by that time and taking her out of there and putting her in another strange area with strange faces is unlikely to help. Really the best thing to do is not make too many changes to her environment until she feels secure enough to interact with the two of you comfortably. That means leaving her in the MB suite for as long as it takes.
It's possible that she will be your wife's cat and come to tolerate you but may not be particularly close to you. Even that can change in time. If I remember correctly, one of our breeders here, Brigitte, has a cat that took 5 yrs to become comfortable with her husband.
