Now Presenting: Yuki and Yeti

Another day and another soggy noggin.

Yuki is so fascinated with grooming my head it seems to almost be her only objective when I'm there. In fact, trying to keep her from getting to my shoulders or worse trying to pry her off, makes me think she may actually be an octopus in a fur coat!

I stopped by the vet on the way home to get some forms filled out to submit my claims to Trupanion for their visit and was regaled with more stories of how everyone was taking pictures and that everyone loves my cats.
They were like that with San before he passed away too. They keep asking my secret for having such great pets. If I knew that I'd try to bottle it and sell it for a fortune. The staff at the vet are promising to email me pictures.

Also they were telling me something I had already figured out, that Yuki and Yeti are very closely bonded to one another and she is very motherly toward him. The vet checked to see if maybe Yuki had been bred and determined that, no she never had a litter. Apparently this is just a trait she learned from her mother. There is no way I could separate them without breaking their hearts.

Regarding their health, they checked out A-OK. The only noticed thing to work on was concentrated urine. That was probably from them holding their waste until the long trip ended. To fix it I am going to move the Glacier Point Perfect Fountain (what do you mean knock it off with the product placement?) into the safe room and order another one tonight. (Barry will be happy).

Tried an experiment. Bought a rotisserie chicken and sliced a breast up into little pieces and offered to all of my cats. They each took a bite or three and then ignored the rest. At least I now know the rest of it's MINE!, ALL MINE!

Well, that's our day, how was yours?

A quick update.

Curses! Foiled again! I went back to the safe room to move the Glacier Point Perfect Fountain (there he goes again with the product placement, sheesh!) in for the Savannahs, and low and behold, the little buggers had eaten the chicken! Now I know I will be forced to share, or else.

Of course Paz the tabby is unhappy that he is deprived of the fountain and back to a small ceramic bowl until the new fountain arrives.

Yuki didn't miss a beat, as soon as the fountain was full and running she was drinking. Yeti didn't get to it right away, but he'll find it soon enough and he watches Yuki to see what she is doing so it won't take long.

Now I lay me down to bed

Slobber coats my soggy head

Neurotic kittie drools and licks

And licks, and licks, and licks

This crazy kittie drives me nuts

OH GOD! She also licks her butt!

No wonder I’m called poopyhead

Screw it, I’ll just go to bed

I am so glad everything is turning out well for you and the kitties! They sound like wonderful little imps! One thing about Yuki's fascination with your hair - it may be the products you use to wash your hair that has her so compelled to wash you. Just make sure you rinse thoroughly so that she isn't ingesting even trace amounts of hair products

I normally use Pantene shampoo and conditioner and rinse out thoroughly. She is also like this with everyone she meets. I think she groomed everyone at the vet. When there they did determine she loves perfume, she cleaned the wrists of a few of the women there on the spot they had applied perfume.

Hmmmm....wondering if Pantene is the attractant for the hair grooming. One of our cats---our DSH girl---loves to groom my fiance's short hair while grabbing his head with her front paws and he allows her to sit on his back until she does her thing, purring all the while....we use Pantene, too. She has tried grooming my hair, but it's quite a bit longer and that did not go so well for her, thank God ;)

There was a time when I used burt's bees milk and honey lotion. That time is past. D would start with my feet, and lick and lick and lick any exposed bit of skin.
I trashed the lotion, and the problem stopped ;)
