Now Presenting: Yuki and Yeti

Yeti's paw is just fine. He is showing no sign of soreness and is playing and running like nothing happened.

Received the large jacket from Hyendry this evening and put it on Paz. He didn't fight me or run off which surprised me, but he was not happy about it. He became somewhat of a lump limiting his own movement. I left him in it for almost two hours and then picked him up and cuddled him which he normally doesn't like, but this time he settled in for a purring good time. I then let him out of it and gave him a bunny batter.

Rodent Wreckers Refuse Real Rooster Say Striking Until Agreement Over Beef

Yesterday they stuffed themselves. Today they didn't even touch their raw food and only nibbled other stuff. But they did try getting into my pizza while I ate in front of them hoping they would decide to eat their own food after I finished my dinner. Didn't work.

Tomorrow I hope to be able to buy some beef for them.

They are still hyper and playing like mini hurricanes despite not being interested in their food.

The fussy SVs are back on the raw chicken. Yuki nibbled at it and Yeti dove right in. They only got a small amount last night to see if they would eat it and Yeti took down 2oz in 5 minutes so tonight I plan to up the amount and watch them eat.

Their energy remains very high (no wonder they are called F5).

Their frustration at being cooped up in the safe room all day is very obvious. They now howl and cry at the door trying to get me to open it. As soon as I return from being out of the house they start up. They even do that at night after I leave their room for the last time in the evening.

Yuki has informed me that she plans to join a travelling circus to become famous as Miss Yuki the Lightbulb Eating Savannah. She has developed a fascination with the 7watt flourescent lightbulbs in one particular lamp and keeps trying to get her mouth around it. I have not let her bite at it, but the obvious answer is to retire the lamp and trade it to someone else. Bizarre fixation.

Yeti is becoming much more talkative and can now rip loose some very loud meows. Quite impressive.

The routine for oral medication continues and for some reason last night went very quick. Yuki always requires scruffing, however she must have decided to give in to get away quicker. Yeti has become a professional at this practice. He no longer needs scruffing and now he comes up onto the desk and waits his turn. I still have to gently cuddle him and rub a finger under his chin while talking to him, but he doesn't fight it and hangs around for the praise and petting afterward.

Paz did some quick grooming of Yeti earlier and Yeti responded in kind. Paz is still afraid to play with either of the SVs. Even Yuki was ready to wrestle with Paz, but he got worried and backed away. Good signs that they are getting used to each other. Once they can all have run of the house things should quickly improve.

We have a breakthrough!

I was feeding a can of wet food to the SVs and Paz was at the door which I held open. He walked in and joined in eating from the same dish as Yuki with no fuss from either.Whiskers had to be touching because of how close they were. Any closer and they'd have been snogging.

Tomorrow night I will try that with raw beef and see what happens.

The SVs also polished off about 5 ounces of raw beef earlier.
