Just got home after spending most of the day with some friends and the cats were so overjoyed to be let out of the room that only Yuki paused 5 seconds to rub my leg and then took off to join the others running around the house.
I actually got to eat dinner undisturbed.

Got a great chuckle a few minutes ago. All three cas were nibbling at their food and Yuki got in a mood. She gave Yeti two quick smacks to the head and walked a short distance away from the dish. Paz who is getting chummier with Yeti, was looking at this with a WTF expression and when she approached the dish again he slapped her upside the head twice like she had just done to Yeti. 
I would have finished writing this post a lot sooner, but ended up with a pile of SVs on my chest.

Forgot to mention the soccer match between Yeti and Paz yesterday morning. Downstairs in the livingroom/diningroom areas where there is no carpet, the smooth flooring helps give the paper wads more action when batted.
Yeti was excitedly playing with a new paper ball and Paz became very attentive. Suddenly he darted after it and stole it on the run batting it along like a pro soccer player and kept moving it into the living room. This caught Yeti completely off guard and he couldn't keep up even though he tried.
A few minutes later Paz made another try for a running steal and this time Yeti outfoxed Paz by at the last second batting the paper ball back under his own belly and Paz went screetching past and into a slide.
I think later this week I will introduce the wand and feather lure I bought from Hyendry. That will really get the three beasties wound up.

Free entertainment, eh? I can't wait to have two kitties!!
Vivi LOVES the kitten wand from hyendry. This is the third wand we've bought for her since she arrived, lol, and is holding up great so far. The other two have been long gone. I just ordered her harness and another feather toy for the end of it, they are too cute.

Not much to report lately. The introductions continue and Paz has now refused to run off if Yuki enters his space. I even saw him smack her around a bit this evening, but nothing serious.
They all shared 8oz of raw beef tonight with no mixing. I found out over the last two nights that none of them like mixing raw chicken with raw beef.
Yeti groomed Paz enough that he ended up having a soggy head yesterday.
Yuki really dislikes dogs. A dog barking in a video set Yuki off and she cut loose with a deep growl that coming from her dainty throat is very strange for people hearing the sound. She can manage a heck of a base tone.

It's jacket night at the Tort518 abode. I tried getting pictures of all three members of the wrecking crew, but Paz has gotten into a hiding place it is tough to wrestle is almost 16lb butt out from. So here are Yuki and Yeti wearing their jackets. I'll add Paz later if he comes out where I can catch him.

Love-Hate relationship.
I decided to trust the cats not to do too much damage or self harm last night and gave them run of half of the house over night. So far they seem not to have gotten into anything and nothing is broken. (the forum needs a fingers crossed emoticon)
When I fed the wrecking crew this morning Paz and Yuki had an interesting exchange at the food dish. They both ate some food, then traded headbutts and slaps. Then they walked apart with tails fully puffed in the annoyed state for a few seconds before going back to normal. No growls or hisses, so it doesn't give me the impression of actual hostility. Any thoughts on what this particular display could be about?

Guessing right out of left field -- they're saying I like you but don't get any ideas about treading on my territory. Tort, there will continue to be jockeying in the hierarchy for quite awhile. Each time I added a cat it took about a year to work out who was in charge. They've all been together about 3 yrs and they still have disputes over who is top cat.
I feed mine in separate rooms. Juba is a hog and would gobble his food and steal the others'. Taji & Maliik are able to eat in the same room but Maliik is uncomfortable with it, growls the whole time and eats too fast. So Taji eats in the kitchen, Maliik in the sunroom, and Juba is locked in the laundry room.
