Ok folks, I have a mystery vomit spewer tonight. After serving up dinner and stretching out to relax, One or maybe more members of the wrecking crew has been vomiting different types of food in numerous locations.

There was one good sized pile of raw beef which was dinner, two or three smaller piles of canned food which was served for breakfast, but no kibble which was lunch.

Puke piles were in a line from the eating area on up to just outside the bedroom door and they alternated with the raw being the middle and largest pile.

None of the critters shows any sign of illness. They are very playful, their eyes are bright and clear, noses normal temp and their bellies feel fine.

My suspicion would be Paz since if it were a single cat, he is the one likely to have eaten that much, but why would the types of food be alternating unless he was wandering about setting squishy anti-ape mines?

Quite puzzling since there is also no sign of a hairball involved.

This morning all cats are still acting a-ok and no more puke piles discovered.

Yuki insisted on riding my shoulders as I got ready for work since she knew I would be gone all day. She fought not to let go when I had to go out the door. Talk about clingy. :roflmao:

Vet visit this morning to see if any traces of ringworm still persist.

The lesions are filled in by hair, the upper parts of which are discolored and the lower portions are the normal color. As these hairs shed Yeti will get back to his snowy, unblotched self.

Newest weights:
Yuki now weighs 9lbs 7oz
Yeti is continuing his growth spurt and is now 6lbs 9oz at 6 months. I don't know if that is considered average for an f5 kitten at this stage, but I get the impression he'll end up somewhere between 12 and 15 lbs with a lean, but not rail thin, build.

Neutering will take place after the all clear is given on the ringworm which could be a month from now. The Saniguard foggers and spray, combined with the oral meds and shampoo seem to have done well.

It took 4 people, myself included, to get Yuki's claws trimmed this morning. She was in full deva mode and feisty as I have seen her. While she didn't actually bite down she did try to scare us into letting go by mouthing at any hand near enough (mine and the vets) while doing some hissing and growling.

She even kept trying to climb up on shoulders where she feels safe (a vet tech and mine). When she first squirmed around and reached for the vet tech's shoulder she scared the tech into thinking she was trying to scratch her face. Then she realized what was happening and I took Yuki and showed them what it was she wanted. Seeing Yuki climb onto my shoulders cleared that up.

Yeti didn't really give too much fuss, but he is seeing everything as play and wants to wrestle or chew stuff. There was a strip of the exam table's base that was coming loose and this was immediatly a chew toy for Yeti. I made sure to point it out to the vet so they can fix it.

Yeti kept trying to play with an aggravated Yuki and she kept grumbling and swatting at him. He didn't care, nothing seems to phase the kitten.

Last night I put down some rabbit for the cat's dinner.

Yeti dove in. Yuki would nibble a bit, but seemed to have other things she was more interested in at the time, and Paz turned his nose up at it.

I suspect things will improve this evening when I mix in some canned and serve more of it. I think I'll also break out a rabbit hide lure with the clarion wand before serving dinner to see if I can gin up more interest.

Woke up this morning laying on my side and Yeti was curled up beneath my chin against my chest. Ya think maybe he thinks I'm okay for an ape? :big grin:

Read All About It! Mystery Vomiteer Strikes Again! Authorities Puzzled!

Actually I think it is likely Paz, though I have not witnessed the event. None of the cats are showing any signs of illness and all have good appetites. Probably just a case of anxious over-eating causing some tummy upset. This time it was much less puke in only two small places. :sick:

On other topics - In case anyone had their doubts, morning wood is not a brand of scratching post. :eek: This means you Yeti. :cautious:

The cats are quite entertaining. Their interactions are getting much better and they can now nap within inches of each other without a fuss. Yuki keeps trying to play with Paz and he is still not quite getting it, but he is moving toward understanding. I can tell because he is letting her bite his neck the way she does with Yeti when beginning play, but he still moves away if she tries to wrestle.

Got some entertainment from Yuki and Paz.

Last night they briefly did the 'take turns chasing' thing, and this morning they tried to head butt each other simultaneously and because they are both still a little skittish they also tried jumping backwards at the same instant of contact. Reminded me of two rams on the mountainside butting heads in reverse. :lol:

I'm still getting them used to the jackets and decided to see how they would behave in the car (parked, not on).
The picture by the steering wheel is Yeti, the other picture is Yuki looking out over the dash. By far the calmer of the two is Yeti.
