Unfortunately, FIP is a disease that it is pretty safe to say ALL catteries will see if they remain open long enough... FIP is not a disease in and of itself- it is a horrible mutation of the corona virus, which is the common kitty cold.

No, Mr. Twister- FIP is NOT manageable. There are new protocols, but from what I understand- they are very expensive and just prolong life, but not really prolonging quality of life. I'm sure Brigitte might pop on here with more info- she's very knowledgeable about FIP. My one experience so far was a rescue Selkirk that developed it within a week of coming home- still in quarantine, still broke my heart...
