I too was going to send money to a person, luckily a girl I met on the internet has advised me that she had been cheated by this person ...

Now I seem to be too suspicious, but a great fear of being cheated ... How can I verify that a farm exists and is serious if it is not in my state??

thanks

You have to research the breeder. also its cattery not farm lol. see if they are registered with TICA and see if there on Savnavahcat.com. Google the cattery and the owner and see what google returns. Look into local breeders that you can drive to and not have to have it flown to you. Also price can be an indicator of a scam, like a person selling a f1 or f2 or f3 for 100s of dollars instead of 1000s. oh and of course the obvious sob story scams. some unfortunate situation for the person that greatly benefits you... lol and most of those have religious touch to it.

It's been my experience that f2 males get the largest, even in comparison to f1 50% males( the HPs are the biggest) my Razi was 7.5 pounds at 6 months, and his summer weight is 27-28 pounds. I also think that raw-fed kittens get larger as adults as well.

F2 males can indeed be large. I got the largest one from a litter - 5 lbs at 10.5 weeks - and he's now 7 months old and 16 lbs 13 oz. 2.5 lbs a month isn't the norm, but I'll take it.

Jacq, how old is Razi now?

F2 generation, but as I have not recommended with small children, right??
F2s are fine with children as long as they are properly socialized. It goes the same as with dogs and any other cat, some dogs and cats have a fear of children if they haven't been brought up with them. Savannahs even the higher percentage savannahs do perfectly fine with children. My f2 girl came to us at a year and she lacked a lot of socialization skills to say the least, she doesn't go near my son whose 2, unless he has food or the cat wands. I really don't think she would ever be a threat to him even with her lack of socialization.
