@SV Dad Thank you! He is so great. I know he will be a little troublemaker in a few weeks time. LOL but it's pleasant right now.
He is not very good at jumping yet. I have a high bed & he can not make it up there with me unless he climbs on the cat tree first, then jumps to the bed. For some reason, though, he doesn't always remember that trick and tries to just hop up and misses. I tried to explain to him to go to the cat tree first but he doesn't always listen..
Did all of you sleep with your kitten? This has been the only thing that I've struggled with since Odge came home. Our night routine is as follows: He eats dinner at 8PM. The we play hard with the feather wand & his kickeroos until almost 9. Then, he passes out & I read my book for a little while before I go to sleep. Around 12:30, Odrick is up....and I mean UP! He is running around, jumping on my head, tugging on my hair
, nipping at my arms until I redirect him to his toys. Once I'm fully awake, I will play with him since sleep is futile at that point. This goes on until 1:30 (almost on the dot) and he falls asleep purring, like a sweet angel. The auto feeder feeds him at 2AM, he wakes up to eat his snack & then goes back to sleep. I don't know if he wakes up throughout the night after 2AM because that's when I go to sleep with Kali on the sofa to give her some cuddle time too (and to actually get some sleep).
I was just wondering if you guys actually slept with these crazies when they were little & did not sleep on your schedule? I remember when Kali was a kitten, she was like that as well but she was not quarantined to my bedroom. She would run around the rest of the house and I was still able to get some sleep. But Odrick is trapped in the room with me. And when he runs, it sounds like a wildebeest. I swear I can hear each paw tramping the ground when he runs across my (fake) wood floors. I thought cats were supposed to be quiet & stealthy by nature LOL
