Domestic Wildcats Sells Sick Kittens - domesticwildcat.com - Domestic Wild Cat - Taran Nolan

Given from the other thread they only gave you the papers to the sire's father, then the sire's mother is likely the source of the polydactyl trait... It is dominant so one parent has to have it. And I think the sire's name is "Big Foot"?

There were some breeders producing Jungle Cat hybrids using Pixiebobs for added "wild" which brought in the bobtail and polydactylism found in the Domestic Wildcats kittens. Of course now they seem to also have added a Highlander to get curled ears as well. What trait will they add next I wonder? Not any of those traits are in the Savannah breed standard.
All I know about the mother to my kittens father is that she was a jungle cat/chausie hybrid from Bion at Jungle Mountain Exotics. Supposedly is she a registered cat, Jimmy just simply doesn't have the papers (he claims). Does any one know Bion or his breeding standards? Jimmy also claims to be "working on something BIG with Bion right now"! He told me I could maybe track those papers down through him. Just curios if his practices were as questionable as Jimmy and Taran's seem to be? Also, I happened to notice today that the "health certificate" from the vet that was completed for Xena's shipping lists "Taran Cline" as the owner with an apartment address (which is not even in the same city they claim to live now). My kitten is listed as "kitten #3" and it seems that maybe some info is missing, but not really too sure since I've never shipped an animal before?!?! I will upload a pic of the vet health certificate required for shipping...hopefully it doesn't seem shady and it's on the up and up! Otherwise I will be very concerned!

I don't know much about Bion, but he has always pretty much done his own thing. The difference between him and Taran/Jimmy is that he doesn't make up his own version of scientific fact or represent his cats as something they're not.

Hard to be "working with " someone that confirmed to me that he's quit breeding months ago! Bion is not living in CA full-time anymore, he's spending time in another state helping care for his elderly mother. He's no longer breeding cats.

Bion was never known as a breeder that cared about TICA nor any specific "breed" according to their standards. He liked hybrids and BIG...so it seems obvious what the attraction for Jimmy is. Agreed with Patti though, he never misrepresented his cats like Taran/Jimmy do!

My knowledge of Bion is that the vets were afraid of many of the cats that came from his cattery. He did cross his Jungle cats with Pixie bobs to get the polydactyl paws and the heavier build. I am not very familiar with Chausies so I do not know if this is an allowable outcross or not. And yes, he no longer has a website so I assume that he is no longer in business.

No, it's not an allowable outcross for the Chausie breed. They, like Savannahs, no longer allow any outcrosses...but during breed development when they did, only domestic shorthairs and Abyssinians were ever allowed.

I sure will. I will update once I find out what PayPal says are my options.

I may have to find me a f3 or f4 that's more budget friendly. The main thing is I want a healthy, loving, fun & friendly Savannah for my family & friends to enjoy.
I got my Savannah from Trish at All Earz in Vegas. I highly recommend her and her kittens. She currently has a litter of F5 and I think she also has an F2 litter.

I have never spoken with Bion nor have I attempted to contact him yet, so he in no way has lied to me. I was referring to Jimmy possibly lying to me about Bellissima (the mother to my kitten) and Stella (his other female he breeds) being from the same litter since he provided me with Stella's paper since he couldn't currently locate Bellissima's. I was planning to contact Bion in regards to Zuni, the grandmother to my kitten on the father's side, to see if I could get her background to possibly add to the "family tree", was just curious if anyone ever had any dealings with him.
