How much to feed as they grow

My 6 month old eats 12 oz raw (4oz 3 times a day), licks his bowl clean and is not fat to me. He is a growing kitten ;)

Definitely follow the good advice you've already been given and relaaaaax. Simba has a lot of growing to do and is very busy converting his food into sound muscle and bone. He looks perfect to me.

After reading this thread, I feel like I'm waaaaay under feeding Duma. He gets about 5-6 oz of primal, the occasional extra cut of meat (either raw or lightly cooked to remove any bacteria from the outside), lots of treats, and sometimes a quarter cup of dry food at the end of the day. I figure as long as he's not begging for food or acting like a maniac when I put out food, then he's okay, right?

How old is Duma and how much does he weigh? If he's not acting hungry or desperate at mealtime he's probably getting enough. You said he gets lots of treats, maybe feed less treats & more food at mealtimes?

I'll weigh him when I get home, but he'll be 6 months on July 3. He eats as much as a 15-lb ragdoll lol

I think if Duma is not begging for food then he is getting enough...they're usually good at telling you if they want more :)
After their playtime, and after their training snacks, I gave the two of them 6 oz of primal for dinner (they each got 3 oz this morning, so that's a total of 6 oz each). An hour later, there is still some on the floor. He doesn't look fat, but he doesn't look starved either. And while he was excited about getting treats, he wasn't going nuts either. Maybe I'll try giving him an extra ounce and see if he eats it, but since there is still about an ounce on the floor, I'm guessing not.

I'm trying to figure out how much I should be feeding Abu. I keep gradually increasing how much I'm giving him. I think he is a bottomless pit ... He scarfs through the Stella and Chewy's ... Saying he loves it is an understatement. So far he cleans the plate and looks for any scraps he may have missed, so will keep increasing. My problem is giving him his food. He has knocked the plate out of my hands twice and the other times he has shredded my fingers (he still needs to learn claw control) short of wearing an oven mitt, any suggestions of getting Abu to settle down when giving him his food?

Tojo eats the Stella and Chewy as well and I have to be careful not to try and hold him while I am carrying his food or he leaps from my arms leaving me a gash. I did find that after I increased his portions (which he still licks his plate clean from) he is a bit more relaxed at feeding time. I feed him 3 times a day 4oz each time. He is 6 months and weighs 7-8lbs.

Ty!! Unfortunately, I can't feed him 3 times a day. But will do so twice a day. With Abu, I almost think he would act like he was famished even after eating a meal 10 mins prior LOL. I can't blame him at 18 wks ... He is over 8lbs ... Zeus and Abu are completely opposite. Zeus rarely eats anything other than kibble, though I've tried other types of food. He has grown a great deal (though not as big as Abu). But he hasn't put on any weight for near a month ... He still is at 5.6 lbs ={

Yes, its def diff from cat to cat. My late cat would only eat kibble and had thyroid probs. I have never even offered Tojo kibble and dont plan to. Cats go thru some interesting changes as they grow. Tojo who used to love all attention from anyone now hides whenever guests come over now for the first 5-10 min.
