Hi Sunny,

Congrats! I recently adopted my little Savannah and have been enjoying how she has changed life in the house. Your pictures look like they were from Victoria in Indiana. I adopted from her and Nylah moved up to Alaska.

Thanks to all for the info and well wishes! I'll be forever learning as they don't stop growing when their physical frames do, they keep maturing, learning, and doing the unexpected.

Isis is indeed "Trick of Savannah Pride" and sister to "Treat" from Victoria in Indiana. My search for a charcoal took me to every TICA registered breeder in the 50 states the last several months while I was wait listed. This has been a very slow build up over 3 years to the right time and place. I will no longer be denied. :)

Hahaha, I will get this down. TICA why do you torture me so?

Cool brown, cool brown, cool brown.

It's like standards, the more I repeat it the more it will sink in. LOL!

Part of it is just that some breeders use terms that the rest of the cat fancy is not using. "Charcoal" is right now still a designer term, some breeders will use it for any cool-toned tabby while others use it for a specific very dark and dramatic form of the cool-toned tabby...so it can be confusing!

TICA for the most part is pretty logical, they go by the genetics... it can seem odd that cats that are very orangey-warm bst are considered the same color as the very cool bsts, but they are genetically both black spotted tabbies. Kinda like a "blonde" can be anything from platinum white through to almost mid-brown...

Thank You Brigitte for your explanations.
I thought charcoal was for smoke. If it means cool colors it's ok.
Well, I am learning everyday with this breed ;) I prefer the term cool bst.

MF3C was very cool colouring as a kitten, but got very yellow warmer tones this last summer (I am very happy). They change a lot when they mature, even change for the season.

Five mini updates:

I pick her up from momma on Friday!

She's in a growth spurt, my little monster was 6lb 4oz at 5mo and has gained a little more in the last two weeks.

She's also teething and a baby tooth was found, aided by her constant wanting to play fetch and nibble on her toys.

Here's a pic of her curled up on the 25th ready for bed time and post-spay.

Lastly, here's a quick video. Pardon the music and it being sideways, it was a quick upload and I'll take pics and videos this weekend as often as I can.

She's looks like she's going to be a nice leggy girl which makes me a happy cat dad! Too early to tell how big she's going to get as she matures, but if I could compare her to my two males at her size and weight progression through 3-5 months of age she's going to be a big girl and likely top out at 14-15lb by age 2.5-3.
