Make sure the vet currently caring for Tetsu fills out the referral paperwork. Getting the radiology files and lab results to them will get you set up with the right department, be it oncology or internal medicine.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Tetsu.

2 years ago in May, Rafiki was diagnosed with liver issues. In June, we were told that it was fibrosis and that dogs with fibrosis have 2-3 years max (cases of young cats with fibrosis are so rare that there's no data). By July, we were told that they could not rule out lymphoma. This has been discussed repeatedly every time she has had issues. We have never managed to rule out lymphoma but it has now been 2 years so it is highly doubtful. I agree with all the others, do not accept this diagnosis yet. Positive thoughts. Prayers for you both.

My biggest issue right now is keeping him warm. He went back into the cat carrier
to lay down facing out into a lit room that is more quiet than the rest of the lower floor.
I got him to take some warmed formula and he even seemed to like it.

I did put the gates back up to keep him in the main room, kitchen and utility rooms.
I don't want him in the front of the house where is it cool. I also need to keep him
where I can find him without a whole house search. He is good at hiding.

He shouldn't be cold... Did they say what that's about?

Well I got him warmed up and he seems to be staying that way.
He did get a bunch of formula and he also seemed a bit more aware.
I will get up in about 3~4 hours and feed him again.

I do but he will not stay put. I had it on the chair he was sleeping on the other day
and as soon as I turned it on he got up and moved. He did stay in the crate most
of the night by the looks of things and I had a heater pointed at it last night to warm
the inside of it. That lasted about 3 hrs. But I think it did the trick. I got up and gave
him formula twice over the night. When I got up for the day he was out and walked
into the kitchen when I opened the utility room door. He was warm and more like
himself. I fed him and dosed him with his meds. He even licked some of Bella's
chicken.

I will just have to see how the day goes.
