I also spend the night sleeping on the ground.
Now and then when he got tired and i pet him he gest more quiet for a short while.

i also figured if i go lay down before the door he stops jumping on the door.
But he found it a good idea, because if he jumps from my head he can reach higher.

Now during the day he didn't say 1 meoow.
It's really a night thing.
Today i was able to pick him up and put him on my lap for 15 minuts.
So progress. i only did it once so far, later try again.

right now i'm sooooo tired that i can't sleep.

It sounds like it's getting better, if there is anything that's left from his shipping crate that might have the scent of his former home that could help as well. Just place it in his crate so he has an extra level of comfort and those familiar scents.

He's younger, correct? How old is he? I thought the breeder was going to send him home pretty early, but can't remember his age.

THAT will make this situation harder. A younger kitten is more needy. This is one of the reasons why we like to wait too- older kittens are more confident.

I heard the ear plug suggestions when Chongo was crated and I just couldn't do it. If he was in pain, be it of the heart or physical, I wanted to know and be there for him. I have no regrets about foregoing them despite how distraught I was becoming. As long as that time may have seemed while I was going through it, we have a long time to recover for what seems an eternity to a kitten.

The funniest thing I had to do while Chongo was in the crate was wear a hat so his claws couldn't penetrate my scalp. After 8 weeks I was a mess, worn out and tired but without question a better kitten came out on the other end because I was in touch with his pain.

That makes sense- so he's still a bit clingy.

DOESN'T help the sleep issue for you though :( Ear plugs?

Ear plugs will not do, it's simply to loud.

I don't know if it's important i spend the night with him.
It's not in my bedroom he's in, i can simply go lay in my own bed with my other cat and have a good sleep.

I have been given the advice to put him in his bench at night.
Dunno if that is good advice ?
In that case it wouldn't matter if i'm there or not.
I want to be there for him, but only if needed.
Else i'm spilling my energy.

I heard my brother slept with his earplugs with music in. so luckily he hasn't been bothered to much.

You can wear earplugs and still hear a cat yowling- it just wouldn't be as loud and grating.

Um- so he's in a separate room, right? Maybe you're just going to need to move him into your bedroom-he'll sleep, you'll sleep- win/win?
