With mine i just get them the 3 booster shots (they do 3 here) and a rabies shot (only cause its required by law) and that's it. I'm not taking them for more rabies shots. they are 100% healthy and indoor only so i think its pointless to give them rabies shots.

I also make sure they give killed cause i don't want to risk any chance of death.

Not sure what you mean by chance of death...many of us use modified live with absolutely no issues...

Vet said the herpes is very common in cats and kittens and that she prob wont have issue from it. Her eyes look fine and there is no redness or discharge. And to be honest, maybe she does maybe she doesnt have it..I dont know if she tested her for it or just looked and said that is what it prob was due to what my wife told her..I guess I need to verify that..

So I guess the next thing is her Rabbies ,due to bats in Texas vet recommends. And the luekemia which she stated has come a long way and is refined from days of issues with sight injection and cancer...All in all.. He is doing great, and adjusting fine...Thanks everyone.

ive read about how some kittens have died with live before. trying to find where i read that. i think it was a savannah site or savannah breeder site.

The one i read before wasn't talking about this 1999 incident. i think one of the kittens the breeder sold died cause of MLV.

Note: In 1999, I was involved in a situation where several kittens in a group died from panleukopenia post vaccination with a MLV FVRCP vaccine. The vaccine was from a leading vaccine manufacturing company and after speaking with their head veterinarian, it was determined that the vaccine may have reverted to virulence.

Quite some time ago. There was a spate of cat deaths in Canada a few years ago due to problems with a killed vaccine, so I suppose that evens it out. The immunogenicity of attenuated/live vaccines is much better than killed, and the calici-panleukopenia(killed)-rhinotracheitis vaccine is about as safe as it can be. The panleukopenia-component is killed because of environmental and canine concerns...
Killed vaccines generally contain adjuvants to aid immunogenicity, and if you really want something scary look them up.
